Amazonite has been around a long time. The ancient Egyptians used it to make scarabs, and parts of the Egyptian Book of the Dead are carved in amazonite. Some even claim the female warriors known as Amazons used it — though no one seems to know exactly what they used it for.

Amazonite really speaks to me and I love the raw unpolished stone which looks totally different to the highly polished tumblestones.
I have made some wire wrapped pendants using raw Amazonite and I always get compliments on them and I feel confident wearing them.

Amazonite is described by many crystal shops in my home country as one kind of stones that brings us good luck (and is called the stone for gambling…). I am wondering if Amazonite has any spiritual property that really makes it a stone of luck, or if this is just a marketing tagline created by the crystal shops which want to boost their sales.
Hi Christy, I have heard this about Green Aventurine before, but never about Amazonite. Although stones can call in a specific energy through your intention (like luck), there is no guaranteed outcomes from working with crystals. <3
