Having a successful career as a healer is totally within your reach, but there are a few key things you must keep in mind while you’re make the transition and building the business of your dreams. A career as a healer doesn’t happen overnight, but it can happen if you work hard, stay patient, commit yourself, and most of all if you’re truly passionate about your healing practice.
If you’ve ever thought about following your heart and making the leap toward becoming an energy worker, you’ve likely had to deal with some BIG questions along the way, such as…
- I know I’d be happy working for myself and serving others…but can I really make a living as a healer?
- I want to follow my healing path and have my dream career, but I still need to pay the bills…will I still be able to take care of my obligations if I don’t have a traditional 9-5 job?
- I’d love to have my own full-time healing practice, but everyone else thinks I’m crazy to make the shift…are they right that it’s just a pipe dream?
You ABSOLUTELY CAN have a successful career in crystal healing.
However, it is not always an easy path…especially in the very beginning. You can fully expect that for the first 2-3 years of building your practice, you will work long hours without a very big return. It takes time to get yourself out there and build lasting client relationships. However, things WILL shift after you have built a solid foundation for your business. I’m not saying this to turn you off of this path, but instead, to prepare you for what is ahead so that you can face your challenges head on, and with a plan for success.
In addition to the challenges of growing a small business, you might also struggle with balancing your home life with your work life (which was a big personal struggle of mine…even without any kids). When you’re in the infant stages of starting your practice, you must be willing to put your clients first in order to build positive relationships. Additionally you have to make time for the daily tasks of running your business, and you MUST take the time to educate yourself and become a marketing expert.
I would suggest finding yourself a business coach (one of the things I wish I had invested in sooner than I did).
While you’re out there in the world, following your heart toward your dream of creating a sustainable healing practice, you may need a part-time (or full-time) job for the first year or two while you are getting things off the ground.
This means more of that balance between work and home as well as finding enough time in the day to take care of your responsibilities (personally, at work, and for your own sacred business). This means long hours because you might be juggling tons of things at once. But, in year three, that’s normally when most people can take the scary transitional leap into doing their practice full time. There’s a great saying about starting a new small business: “the first year it sleeps, the second year it creeps, and the third year it LEAPS!” This was true for me and I know many other people who have had the same experience.
There’s still a lot of hard work to be done, but it’s not nearly as exhausting as it can be the first year or two.
Plus, along the way, you’ll have so many mistakes and success stories, that you will discover what works in your healing practice and what doesn’t. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, just take away what lessons you can and apply them to the future. If you can make it through the two-year grind, fueled by your passion for helping others and creating positive change in our world, then you WILL be a success.
Having my own healing practice (and now teaching) is the most rewarding, spiritually fulfilling thing I can imagine doing. BUT, you must let this be what drives you. If you are really passionate about this, and willing to work hard to make a career of it, then it will be amazing.
So, the short answer is YES – you CAN do this!
But…you MUST believe in yourself…you MUST be willing to work for what you are passionate about (be DRIVEN!) and you MUST find BALANCE and have FAITH in your ability to MANIFEST the life that you desire. When you sit down to work on your new sacred business, you should approach it logically AND energetically. For example, if you take some time to design a new ad to grab new clients, maybe you should also do a little ritual for yourself, or create a crystal grid to take the energy to the next level. These practices have served me well and I hope that they will help you to SHINE your light too!
Keep up all of the amazing things you are doing…I BELIEVE in YOU!
