When you’re consumed with taking care of others, it can be easy to forget about the person you need to take care of first – yourself! If you think it’s selfish to put yourself first sometimes, think again. Neglecting yourself can ultimately lead to exhaustion, resentment, and the inability to take care of others. So don’t feel guilty about self-care, it’s a necessity! And guess what?! Crystals can help. Here are a few tips on how you can work with healing crystals for self-love and self-care.
Healers often find themselves feeling drained or burned out. Many compassionate, heart-centered healers give and give and give some more, without remembering to take time for their own self-care.
Taking time for self-love and self-care is not only good for you (physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually), but also good for your business. When you’re happy and healthy, your clients will be too!
The following are 3 practical, simple, and fun tips for self-care with healing crystals…
1) Take a Relaxing Rose Quartz Bath
Schedule in some time when you can be alone and run a nice warm bath. Then, place a few (1-5 pieces is great!) smooth, tumbled Rose Quartz stones in your bathtub. Don’t use rough (unpolished) stones as they might scratch your tub or you (ouch!). If you don’t have any allergies or fragrance sensitivities, you may also want to add a few drops of lavender essential oil. Take some time just for you to relax and rejuvenate.
The bathwater acts as a conduit for energy, helping to release the energetic vibration from the Rose Quartz crystals into the water. Once in the water, it is transferred into your body. You can bathe yourself with the healing water in the bath for as long as you like. you may even want to create a spa-like experience by lighting some incense, putting on your favorite chill-out CD, or even lighting a few candles. Just enjoy yourself, intend to take in the healing energy of the crystals, and be well!
2) Try this Quick Crystal Meditation for Self-Love
Another helpful (but fun!) self-care technique is meditating with crystals. This meditation shouldn’t feel overwhelming and it shouldn’t feel like a chore. Meditation doesn’t have to be an hour-long session or a whole weekend retreat. It can just be five or ten minutes a night that you set aside for self-care.
I recommend choosing a stone that reminds you of self-care, self-love, relaxation, or general health and wellness. Just be sure to choose a stone that really speaks to you. Similar to taking a Rose Quartz bath, you might want to set the tone for your session by lighting some incense or putting on some soft music.
To begin, sit with your chosen stone and focus on all the positive things about yourself. This is not necessarily a list of “things” or of what you “have”. This is more of an inventory of your personal strengths and gifts. What makes you special or unique or quirky or fun? When are you happiest in your life? What is there to love about you? What are your strengths and triumphs? What are your gifts? How do you help others in the world?
When you’re feeling really happy and whole and absolutely wonderful, tune into the area of your Heart Chakra and hold all of this positive energy there. Let it charge up your aura with positivity and wellbeing. Then, when you feel ready, you can slowly wiggle and stretch (as needed) and return to conscious awareness.
3) Fill Up Your Aura with Radiant Crystal Energy
The simplest way to add to your self-care routine is to choose a “self-care crystal.” You should intuitively choose a “pocket stone” that is representative of self-love or nurturing. Keep this crystal on your person or nearby as a reminder about wellness and self-care. This crystal may be set in a piece of jewelry, or it could be a tumbled stone that you carry around in your pocket. Getting those positive crystal vibes into your field is really what it’s all about! This little self-care reminder will also slowly help you to shift your thinking and habits, encouraging you to make a commitment to self-healing and care.

I couldn’t agree more, Anita! Thanks for sharing with us.
I have always taken long Epsom salt baths with my favourite palm stones in there. The Rose quartz and quartz crystals are the ones I use the most. I love the idea of the colour spectrum flooding my chakras from the quartz crystal. I always leave my bath feeling like I have cleansed every cell in my being.
It’s truly a magical cleanse.
Well said Hannah! Crystal baths are magical, healing, and super rejuvenating. Adding epsom salts is a great way to get even more out of this self-care time. 🙂 Thanks for your comment!
I like to take 5-10 minutes to meditate in the morning to affirm that Today is a GREAT day with many blessings to be had, and I usually use carnelian or red jasper to give my stamina a little jump-start. Another favorite part of my morning routine is intuitively choosing which stones I’ll wear/carry through my work-day…and yes, I ALWAYS have at least 2 on my person at any given time–most days I have a small bag of stones in each pocket.
I also find I sleep better, and have the most pleasant dreams when I tuck a stone or 2 under my pillow, and who doesn’t love a good, restful night of undisturbed sleep?!?!? My favorites for sleep are charoite, tumbled amethyst or sodalite. Blessings & Peace!
I SUPER love this Bobbie! It sounds so beautiful and the perfect way to make a small effort toward self-care each day. 🙂 Thanks for reading & especially for sharing!

You are so very welcome Fay! 🙂 Thanks for reading.
I once had much faith I. My life and myself along with the Divine Light and Love that guides us all. Jere recently it seems that I am losing my faith. I cannot do that. If you can please help get it back together? It will be so appreciated.
Hi Donna! I think it’s natural for this to ebb and flow at different points in your life. However, it’s a great sign that you’ve recognized this and that you’re placing a priority to re-connect. I’d suggest making some time each day for silent meditation and try to connect with your inner self to find out what’s causing this right now. Good luck & crystal blessings!
