    What is the difference between tourmalinated quartz and black rutilated quartz? They look so similar.

      Hi Chris! Great question 🙂 So– when something is referred to as black rutilated quartz–it’s actually tourmalinated quartz. The black pieces are technically not rutiles- they’re tourmaline– so black rutilated quartz is an incorrect name for it <3 I hope that helps clarify! Crystal blessings!
