Rose quartz is the astrological stone for Taurus. Rose quartz, which is simply quartz tinted pink by various mineral traces, has always been the Love Stone. Rose quartz is an excellent “relationship” stone, promoting love in all its forms: romance, friendship, family, and even self-love. It only rarely forms gem-grade crystals but has been used in carving for a very long time. Because of its associations with unconditional love, it is often used in religious carving, including prayer beads and figurines which we carry in the store. All this should appeal to the warm heart of Taurus!

Metaphysical uses: Romantic love, maternal love, the love between friends, unconditional love, self-love–you name it! Every kind of love has been associated with rose quartz. It’s an especially good stone to put under your pillow; depending on your circumstances, this is supposed to attract love, enhance a current relationship, or heal a broken heart. You can also make a rejuvenating face wash by leaving a chunk of rose quartz in water overnight, and then washing your face with it in the morning. (With the water, that is, not the rock.)

I wasn’t excited about rose quart at first either and often passed over it – it didn’t make it as a piece in my collection for quite some time in fact. I have since learned that to me, rose quartz is like a friendship. Upon first meeting it can almost be overlooked or easily dismissed or bypassed altogether. But, once you get to spend more and more time with one specific piece or maybe a few pieces, you deepen your friendship – you start understanding one another and begining to open up to deeper levels of connection and support. I have even found with handiling a rose quartz piece that is special to someone else there is almost like a relationship barrier so to speak – a line not to cross because they are “spoken for” just like there are two people in romantic relationships and they may be deep with one another but other’s have their boundaries to maintain! So fun what crystals can teach us if we only stop and listen! 🙂

Wow!! I too was never drawn to Rose Quartz until recently. I used it for healing on others and recommended it to those who I felt could use it’s gentle healing energy, but I had somewhat of an aversion to it…I even tried to buy rose quartz for myself but just could not do it….UNTIL…in the new year I decided to focus my life and business on LOVE. I promised myself I would do nothing unless it was coming from a place of love…my relationships, my business etc. So I began wearing my rose quartz bracelet that I had made over a year ago ….every day and I have ever since. Another interesting story. I was at a store picking up some crystals to create the goal grid that you offer with the Crystal Healer’s datebook. As I was playing with it in the store and creating it, the very intuitive woman who was working there came over to look at my grid. She told me that the woman this grid was for needed some healing and much self love. I told her the grid was for me and it was to help manifest my business goals. She nodded and said, ‘yes’ I know ….but you need to work on your self love.’ I told her I had been working on that for sometime and she asked if she could suggest a crystal for the centre. I told her it was supposed to be a clear quartz. She brought me the most beautiful rose quartz generator. I fell in love and I know it was meant to be. Rose quartz has helped me to act from a place of love and compassion whereas in the past, it was more of an obligation at times. I have really focused on my relationships and friendships and watched them strengthen . Still working on the self love…that is a day to day challenge and I believe the energy of rose quartz has really brought Love into my life in every area. It is def one of my favourites now. I have even been gifting rose quartz bracelets that I make to all of my friends. Spreading the love ? Rose quartz helps me because I have lost my mother 20 years ago.
In Cassandra Easons book of crystals it says it helps those who have lost their mothers to mother themselves.
It also helps me because I have been through trauma and heartbreak from splitting up with my boyfriend.
It also gives unconditional love and is good for self confidence and self esteem.

My mother in law made a rose quartz necklace. I am going through a divorce and it’s not what I wanted and my heart is broken. she told me to wear it close to my heart.

When it comes to crystals, rose quartz in general probably wouldn’t make it to my top ten because I am most drawn to crystals that are a little showy with shimmer or sparkle. That being said, my favorite individual crystal happens to be a rose quartz! There is something about the energy that feels so warm and nurturing, like a caring mother or a friend who is always there for you. My rose quartz is carved in a short, rounded massage wand thar lays perfectly in the palm of my hand. I sometimes fall asleep holding it and it is still there when I wake in the morning. I feel like my rose quartz knows me and loves me unconditionally. After I go through something that is emotionally painful, I always turn to my rose quartz to soothe me and help me regroup. I was nodding along during the podcast episode because I can definitely relate to the qualities that Ashley shared.

I just picked up a big piece rose Quartz yesterday cleansed it was feeling happy and everything now today I’m feeling emotional cause, it’s bringing up these emotion about my ex who I gave kids with its telling me I need to be with him or maybe the crystal is telling me that he is missing me deeply inside. Either way I have to give it a break hate to feel emotional all day long. It’s a wonderful crystal but it was too much for me to handle all at once.
